This is a great stack for showing off your digitized sound resources. I had collected a lot of sounds, and I decided to keep them all in a special sound stack. Pretty soon it became obvious that playing several sounds in rapid succession could have a hilarious effect. This stack is the result of that effort.
The stack itself contains no sound resources. I assume anyone interested in this stack already has plenty and doesn't want to pay to download duplicates. If you don't have any sound resources, you can probably get plenty of them from the same place you got this stack.
This stack will play any resources you install into it, or that are installed in your home stack or in hypercard itself. You need to use Resedit or a sound mover stack to install 'snd'
(sound) resources.
To set up the stack to play your sounds, you just need to know the exact name of your snd resources. You can find out these names by opening your snd resources with Resedit. Once you know the exact names, just click on one of the buttons named
'No Name' and type in the name of your sound. You are all set to play your sound. If you have a lot of sounds, you can create as many sound library cards as you need by clicking on the 'New Card' button.
The neat feature of this stack is its ability to record and playback 'PlayLists'. Just click on the 'Record' button and click away on any sound buttons you like. The stack will remember the sequence and play the whole list back for you when you click on the 'Play Recording' button.
If you create a particularly interesting PlayList you can save it to disk and load it in any time you want.
Version 2.0 of this stack allows you to have as many sounds installed as you have room for on your disk. It also automates nearly every function, making it simple enough for just about every user.
The catch:
This stack is not free, but it won't cost you any money.
If you like this stack and use it, just send a disk with some sounds on it to:

If you think you have some great enhancements, or just want to
'shoot the breeze' with another stackhead, drop me a line. As it should be with all stacks, this stack is not protected and you can poke around in the code and use any part of it you like. All I ask, if you are going to redistribute it, is that this message is left intact and with the stack.
